Providing the complementary therapies of massage, myofascial release, Indian head
massage, reflexology and reiki in Barwell (Leicestershire) – convenient for Hinckley,
Leicester, Nuneaton, Bedworth and surrounding villages
NOTE: The treatments that I offer are complementary and should not be used as an
alternative to seeking medical advice. This is because it is vital that we do not
cause any delay to medical treatment of symptoms that could be a warning sign of
an undiagnosed medical condition.
Seek medical advice before having a massage if you have phlebitis, thrombosis, varicose
veins, severe acute back pain, or fever.

Indian head massage may help by stimulating your circulation and lymphatic system,
removing toxins that have built up in your muscles. It is a wonderful way to help
you cope with the stresses of your lifestyle and improve your general health.
This form of massage works on your upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp,
ears and face. I massage these areas with firm yet gentle, rhythmic movements that
involve acupressure points called Marma points.
Indian head massage may prove beneficial by:
• relieving tension in neck and shoulders
• relieving eyestrain
• helping with insomnia
• easing headaches and migraine
• improving mental concentration
• relaxing and toning muscles, including those in the face and neck
• stimulating the hair and scalp
• helping the local blood and lymphatic circulation
• relieving sinusitis
• reducing stress
• releasing anxiety
For the treatment you sit in a special seated massage chair, allowing me to massage
your upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. You can be fully clothed, or wear
an appropriate off-the-shoulder top that leaves the upper back, shoulders and neck
free. I use oil on the body (if you are partially dressed as described above) and
for the head massage. So yes, you will end up with oily hair - but the oil is very
good for your hair, and will wash out easily when you get home!
